Have you ever been in a situation to try a free sample of a product, and then if you like it, then buy it?
So now you can watch the entire first episode of Star Trek: Picard for free.
The first episode of CBS All Access original series Star Trek: Picard, starring Sir Patrick Stewart as the inimitable and legendary Star Fleet Captain Jean-Luc Picard, is free to watch on the CBS website.
The first episode is free to watch on CBS’s website until February 5.
You can also watch the free first episode on Pluto TV. Pluto also shared the news of a free episode of Picard series on his Twitter account.
In the new series, Picard is no longer Captain of the Star Fleet. He is now retired and has found peace on his vineyard plantations.
The story goes in a mysterious direction when Picard is visited by an unknown young woman named Dahj (Isa Briones) and asks for his help.
While Star Trek: The Next Generation was mostly episodic in nature, the Picard series is a bit different; it is set to be more serialized.
Some more well-known faces
The series also features some other celebrities from previous Star Trek series such as ex-Borg drone Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan), Will Riker (Jonathan Frakes), Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis) and Lieutenant Commander Data (Brent Spiner).
One interesting thing about the series is that Patrick Stewart’s desire was, and he insisted, his companion be a pit bull. He wants to repair the bad reputation of that dog race.
My opinion is that the first episode of the series is good and showed that this could be a very interesting series. However, since the first episode is now free, it is best to judge for yourself whether the series is worth the subscription to CBS’s streaming service.
