While the season one of Disney Plus Star Wars series The Mandalorian aired, it was announced that the script for season two was already being written.
Recently, series creator Jon Favreau revealed that the second season of The Mandalorian would arrive on Disney Plus this fall. However, two days ago, on February 4, The Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger revealed that the release date of the second season of this Star Wars series is October 2020.
The first season of the series produced great success with the audience. So expectations for the second season are very high. Fans received the series well, especially since the atmosphere throughout the series was reminiscent of the original Star Wars films. One of the episodes that are very reminiscent of old Star Wars is the one that happened on Tatooine. The series, in addition to the main character of The Mandalorian played by Pedro Pascal, surprisingly introduced another new character, a very young boy from the species to whom Yoda belongs (called ‘Baby Yoda‘ by fans). This new character has brought a great refreshment and opened many directions in which the series may develop in the future.
For the second season of the series, executive producers will be Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson. The co-executive producer will be Karen Gilchrist.
