Star Trek: Picard (New Photos) – 4 days left, ENGAGE!

Star Trek, one man

Only four days remained until the premiere of CBS All Access Star Trek: Picard series. So there’s a little time left when we get to see again in action, in the new adventures, the stars of the Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Voyager series. At least some of them.
Around the world, fans of the two series mentioned above, and generally fans of the entire Star Trek franchise, are eagerly awaiting the premiere. And understandably, they have high expectations.
However, what can we expect from the upcoming series? Will we hear the famous ‘Engage‘ once more time?

It is well known that Jean-Luc Picard will not go alone on this new mission. He will have a completely new crew to help him, including members of his old crew from Star Trek: The Next Generation, such as Will Riker (Jonathan Frakes) and Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis). As well as some members of crew from Star Trek: Voyager as ex-Borg drone Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan). Also, the series will feature Lieutenant Commander Data (Brent Spiner). Though it is not yet sure in which role he will appear. Perhaps it will be through flashbacks or dreams, but that remains unclear. As for the other TNG crew members, the existing trailers do not show their appearance in the series. And have not been officially announced that this could happen.

Possible surprise

Although everything remains open and even the appearance of some of them in future seasons would not come as a surprise. This could be especially true of Lieutenant Worf, who, in addition to his role in TNG, also played a significant role in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. As for Lieutenant Commander Geordi LaForge, who was Chief Engineer of the Enterprise and best friend of Commander Data. And maybe Beverly Crusher, the Enterprise’s Chief Medical Officer, who was one of Jean-Luc Picard’s best and oldest friends.

About the plot

The Picard series will take place some 20 years after Star Trek: Nemesis (2002). The executive producer of the current Star Trek franchise, Alex Kurtzman, prepares us for the fact that Picard has changed quite a bit emotionally.
It’s been twenty years, so it’s not realistic to be the same Picard in every sense. So the biggest question is – what happened to him? Did certain forces make him regret his life choices?

The story begins with Picard being visited in his winery in France by a mysterious young woman called Dahj (Isa Briones), who asks him for help.
What we also know is that Picard will not be Starfleet Captain in the series. Also, neither this time the story will not pass without ”green threat,” the Borg. In the series, the Borgs are likely to be a big part of the story given Picard’s and Seven of Nine pasts in which they had a connection with them.

The series has also been officially renewed for a second season, as announced by Julie McNamara, Executive Vice President of Original Content at CBS All Access. According to available data, season two should have ten episodes.
CBS All Access has revealed that Star Trek: Picard will receive its own “post-show discussion” series, aptly titled The Ready Room. And Star Trek veteran Wil Wheaton will sit in the captain’s chair.
